The Fox School of Business at Temple University has entered into a partnership with Ivey Publishing to publish and distribute business and organizational case studies authored by faculty at the Fox School and the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management to educators and businesses worldwide.
Ivey Publishing is one of the most prestigious case publishers in the world. They are a part of the University of Western Ontario’s Ivey Business School, a prestigious business school with a global focus and a history of using teaching cases since 1923. They have thousands of case products in their offerings, with hundreds more added every year. Through this partnership, Fox faculty will have access to a substantial distribution platform through Ivey’s relationships with publishers in the U.S. and Europe, such as Harvard Business School and The Case Centre.
Alongside the new Knowledge Hub, the Center for Experiential Learning, and a renewed focus on translational research, this new partnership emphasizes the Fox School’s commitment to case-learning as both teachers and case writers. Professors can use cases to provide glimpses into the complex and nuanced specifics of the business world in a low-stakes, solution-oriented way while also testing students’ skills and knowledge learned in the classroom. Likewise, Fox has an ever-expanding cadre of case writers who are available to be matched with expert case subjects to deliver high-quality cases.
“Through this partnership with Ivey Publishing, the Fox School gains an experienced ally in writing and publishing cases. Research Leadership is one of the Fox School’s four pillars of our Strategic Plan, and this relationship enables our faculty to collaborate and share their expertise with the broader business education community,” says Ron Anderson, Dean of the Fox School.
