Name: Angus Tremlett
Sport: Men’s Crew
Hometown: Sydney, Australia (The Scots College Sydney)
Major: Business management
Favorite student-athlete memory: “My favorite memory so far has to be when we traveled to London in the summer of 2025 to compete at the Henley Royal Regatta. It was an incredible experience to race on such a historic, international stage. What made it even more meaningful was that I had competed there before with my high school team from Australia. Returning to the event as a collegiate athlete and proudly representing Temple made it a memorable full-circle moment.”
What does it mean to you to be a student-athlete at the Fox School of Business?
To me, being a student‑athlete at the Fox School is a huge privilege. As an international
student, studying abroad was always a dream of mine, and having the chance to pair that with competing in collegiate rowing makes it even more meaningful. The ability to learn from such knowledgeable professors while still pursuing my sport at a high level is something I’m truly grateful for.

What was your decision process like when choosing to attend Temple?
It was very straightforward. I knew I wanted to join a competitive NCAA Division I rowing program that would push me to grow both athletically and personally. At the same time, I was looking for a strong business school that would set me up for future success. Temple offered the perfect combination of both. After speaking with the coaches and learning more about the community and support system here, it felt like the right place for me, and I haven’t looked back since.
How has Fox supported your pursuits as a student-athlete?
Fox has been incredibly supportive of me throughout my time as a student-athlete. The environment for us is designed so that we have a strong community around us. From professors always being understanding when it comes to managing the demands of training and travel, or advisors helping you create a schedule that works for you, I
I really don’t think I would be able to do it without the supportive environment Fox offers.

How will your student-athlete experience benefit you beyond your time at Temple?
I know my student-athlete experience is going to benefit me within my personal life and my professional career. Rowing at this level has helped me strengthen skills like discipline, time management, leadership and teamwork that translate directly into the business world. Balancing the early practices, classes, travel and assignments, I’ve learned how to stay organized and perform well under pressure.
What would you say to a prospective student-athlete who is considering coming to Temple?
I would tell any prospective student‑athlete that coming to Temple offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive and competitive environment. You’ll be surrounded by teammates, coaches and professors who genuinely want to see you grow and find success in both your academics and sport. Being in a city like Philadelphia is an amazing perk, too. Overall, Temple is a place where you can push your limits and prepare for your future.
What do you hope to achieve this spring semester? (Both athletically and academically)
This spring, my biggest athletic goal is to help our team win gold at the Dad Vail Regatta (May 8-9) After that, I hope to carry that momentum into the IRA National Championships (May 29-31) in California. Competing at IRAs is always an incredible experience, and my goal is to perform at the highest level possible there. Academically, I hope to maintain my GPA and keep my attention on ensuring I am doing everything I can to get the most out of Fox education.
