Play ball! Temple University’s Fox School of Business is once again stepping up to the plate as a presenting sponsor of the 2026 Phillies College Series at Citizens Bank Park.
“This is a rare opportunity for students to go behind the scenes, connect directly with top executives and even join the Phillies hiring pipeline,” said Deb Rinaldi, Phillies director of business communications. “It’s been immensely rewarding to see the program continue to grow each year since our partnership began in 2019.”
Spread across nine dates during the Phillies season, the series gives students the chance to connect pre-game with sports industry professionals through panel discussions and networking opportunities. Attendees gain firsthand knowledge about the inner workings of the sports industry and explore career options as well as advanced educational opportunities in a variety of areas.
Each session focuses on a different business topic and features Phillies staff who specialize in that area. Registration also includes a ticket to that day’s Phillies game.
“The Fox School of Business has become an incredible partner for the Phillies organization,” Rinaldi said. “Their support allows us to offer this important community and educational initiative. We are very proud to be in a position where we can help develop and inspire the next generation of great sports business executives together.”

This year’s edition of the series leads off with Business Analytics Night on Monday, March 30. Women in Sports Night follows on Tuesday, March 31. Rinaldi recently shared that this year’s series will include an exciting addition.
“Most of the sessions this year will include a keynote address from Phillies Wall of Famer and former general manager Ed Wade, KLN ’77,” Rinaldi said. “Ed has an inspiring professional story—first interning in the club’s public relations department and rising through the baseball ranks to eventually become the team’s general manager. He will be sure to have excellent advice and professional insight for the attending students.”

In addition to learning about careers in the sports industry, representatives from the Fox School will also be on hand to share information about graduate programs related to the event topics.
“This series gives students the unique chance to learn, interact, network and ask questions to top organizational leaders from the Phillies,” said Chris Lind, director of graduate admissions at Fox. “With our team there, students can also talk with us about continuing their education through a Fox graduate program.
“The entire night is a great opportunity for students to develop professionally and learn about career and educational options they might not have previously considered for themselves.”
The series is also beneficial for the Fox School and Temple University.
“For the Fox School, sponsoring this initiative is about more than visibility at the ballpark, it’s about showing up in spaces where students and young professionals are already building connections and thinking about what comes next in their careers,” said Kristen Kuipers, Fox’s director of marketing and creative services.
“The Phillies are an iconic partner with deep influence in the region, and aligning with a brand that represents tradition, excellence and pride strengthens our own position in the City of Philadelphia.”

In addition to registering early for a session, Lind encourages students to take a big swing at the opportunity.
“Don’t be shy,” he said. “Don’t hesitate to go up to and talk to Phillies leadership and network. This is a time for you to learn about the inner workings of a professional sports team from the leaders within it.
“I’ve found the series continues to better itself with each passing year—and I’m sure this year will be no different.”
