Name: Harakh Joshi

Internship: Comcast Technology Solutions (Philadelphia)
As a senior at Temple University’s Fox School of Business, Harakh Joshi, Class of 2027, understands the power behind the university’s motto, “Perseverance Conquers.”
Especially when it comes to something as important as a summer internship.
“Early on as a Fox School student, you learn the importance of landing an internship at a company or business that can provide you with a strong real-world, professional education,” Joshi said.
“Comcast has always been a company that I have wanted to intern for, especially after learning about their mission and their internship program.
“I applied for an internship in summer 2025 but was unfortunately denied. However, that didn’t discourage me from applying the following year.”
Fortunately for her sake, perseverance does, in fact, conquer.
Joshi returns to Fox this fall having spent the summer as a digital marketing intern for Comcast Technology Solutions in Philadelphia. A vital aspect of the Comcast Corporation, Comcast Technology Solutions specializes in offering the company’s technology, advancements and connectivity to partners across the globe.
For Joshi, a marketing and management information systems (MIS) double major, the opportunity checked many boxes.
“Not only do I admire Comcast and the corporate impact they have on the city of Philadelphia and region, but this internship offered a great blend of real-world applications for both my marketing and MIS classroom knowledge,” Joshi shared.
In addition to learning critical skills related to search engine optimization (SEO), she gained expertise into website accessibility checks and key industry software platforms such as Salesforce and Drupal.
As Joshi explained, the opportunity also allowed her to hone key professional soft skills, too.
“On top of all the website management skills I gained, I felt that a major takeaway from my internship was developing my presentation skills,” Joshi said.
“One of our bigger projects as interns was a group task that asked us to develop a new product or technology feature and then create a pitch/presentation about our idea. We all then presented the idea to our fellow groups and even company leadership.
“Also, before my internship was over, I also presented on my experience to my team and senior leaders, compiling everything I did in my role and what takeaways I had.”
Above all, she gained insight into what she hopes to find in her career.
“On top of getting valuable industry lessons and skills, I was really inspired by the corporate culture I encountered each day and hope to find a permanent professional setting that mirrors what I experienced,” Joshi said.
“Everyone that I worked with this summer was very kind, and willing to dedicate time from their day to offer mentorship. It was great to network with company leadership and receive plenty of career advice and guidance over coffee chats with established professionals.”
As she readies for the 2026-27 academic year, which will conclude with her graduation from Fox, Joshi offers her fellow students valuable insight into internships.
“I would highly recommend Fox students pursue an internship, especially at a place you really want to,” she said.
“The experience puts you in a place where you can fully immerse yourself in not only the work you do, but within the company culture and develop professional skills. To me, it’s the best way apply what you’ve learned in the classroom and through your coursework in a real-world setting before you graduate.”
