When it came time to select her graduate school program, Caroline Alba wasn’t too particular.

However, the master of science in Business Analytics program at Temple University’s Fox School of Business checked what she considered to be the most important box.

“I wanted a program that would challenge me,” Alba said.

“I already had an education in statistics and financial tech, and I wanted to expand upon that knowledge instead of re-learning what I already knew.”

Consider the challenge accepted.

Originally from North Carolina, Alba was one year into her full-time role as senior supply chain financial analyst at the Campbell’s Company in Camden, NJ, when she decided to pursue her master’s at the Fox School in 2023. Drawn to the program because of its location, part-time enrollment flexibility and keen focus on data science, her experience left her with not only an advanced degree, but additional knowledge for her everyday professional pursuits.

“I found a majority of the program to be a mix of both new knowledge that I could immediately apply to my everyday role and material that wasn’t directly applicable to my job but still interesting and valuable,” Alba said.

In the time since beginning the program and graduating from it in the spring of 2026, Alba has enjoyed advancement at Campbell’s. Today, she serves as a marketing operations analyst.

“In my current role, I analyze, visualize and explain marketing financial data to cross-functional teams within the company,” Alba said.

“The program focused on timeless data visualizations and statistics best practices while incorporating modern programming platforms like ‘R Studio’ and ‘Anaconda.’”

While she recalls the entire overall degree experience to be good, particular elements stood out as particularly memorable.

“My favorite courses were Advanced Business Analytics and Visualization: The Art of Numbers and the Psychology of Persuasion,” Alba said.

“They were both courses that measurably improved my technical and professional skills.”

Ready to continue and build upon her early career successes, her time at Fox leaves her even more prepared for the path.

“I will definitely use my degree as leverage for career progression moving forward,” Alba said.
