The Fox School of Business at Temple University is relaunching its Executive MBA (EMBA) program, now redesigned to meet the evolving needs of today’s business leaders.
With trends in executive education shifting and renewed interest in EMBA programs nationally, the timing couldn’t be better.
“For several years, EMBA enrollments were trending down across the country, and Fox wasn’t immune to that,” says Crystal Harold, associate dean for the master’s programs at the Fox School. “Rather than continuing to offer a program that no longer met the needs of students or the market, we made the intentional decision to pause, listen and reimagine what an EMBA should look like today.”
Using market research, alumni engagement and prospective student surveys, the Fox team identified critical shifts in what executives seek from graduate business education.
“Executives are navigating a landscape marked by digital transformation, economic volatility, and global uncertainty,” Harold says. “Corporations need leaders who can think strategically and adapt quickly. Our new EMBA program is designed to do just that—equip executives with the tools to address today’s challenges and anticipate the challenges we will face tomorrow.”
“The EMBA program reinforced the importance of continuous learning, cross-functional leadership, and staying ahead of disruption.”
The redesigned Fox EMBA stands out for its adaptability, innovation and integrated curriculum. The program now features a hybrid structure: eight in-person residency weekends paired with eight virtual ones, allowing professionals to balance rigorous study with their demanding schedules.
News of the relaunch has spread throughout social media, marketing campaigns and other content. The program also hosted an evening reception in Alter Hall attended by EMBA alumni and university dignitaries including President John Fry and Provost Gregory Mandel as well as Fox School Dean Chip Hunter.
The timing of the relaunch not only signifies a new chapter for the Fox EMBA program but also strengthens the broader impact of the Fox School itself.
“The EMBA program enhances our reputation as a hub for executive education,” says Harold. “It draws in top-tier students with real-world experience, enriching the classroom for everyone involved and attracting outstanding faculty and industry experts in the process.”
Launched in 1981, the Fox EMBA boasts a 40-plus year legacy of preparing executives for high-impact careers. Many alumni have gone on to lead multinational companies, launch startups, and consult at the highest levels, driving growth and innovation throughout the Greater Philadelphia region and beyond.
“The EMBA program reinforced the importance of continuous learning, cross-functional leadership, and staying ahead of disruption,” says EMBA alumnus Sidney Johnson. “I am now equipped to navigate the complexities of modern business and lead transformative change with an extensive network that spans the globe and includes all industries.”
