Client Spotlight: Eric Ash of The Eric L. Ash Insurance Agency

Eric Ash recently connected with Cassie Fly, one of the Temple SBDC’s eCommerce consultants, after hearing from a friend about the digital marketing assistance offered through the Pennsylvania Digital Transformation & eCommerce Program (PADTEP). Eric was struggling with improving his online marketing presence for The Eric L. Ash Insurance Agency. Like many businesses, he had felt a shift in his industry and needed some guidance on how to grow his business and get word of it out there.

Ash’s business is located in Allegheny County, so Fly connected him with the University of Pittsburgh SBDC, only a short drive from him for his primary consulting needs. At the same time, Fly was able to assist him with his digital marketing needs through the statewide services offered through PADTEP remotely.

Through PADTEP, Ash was able to get assistance with improving his overall online presence, including improved Google searchability, search engine ranking, and keyword development, as well as gain insight into how to enhance his presence on social media and build a customer base through it.

When asked about his experience with PADTEP, Ash said “Cassie was a great resource for helping to identify ways to improve our online marketing presence. As a marketer for the last 20+ years, I had my trepidation about how the SBDC would be able to help move the needle forward with my business. Boy was I wrong.

Here are a few of the highlights and appreciation I had for the process:

  • Fast turnaround and responsiveness
  • Detailed audits/reports
  • Knowledgeable conversations via Zoom as well as over the phone and via email
  • Implementable ideas and recommendations for our current marketing strategy and tactics

I wholeheartedly recommend the services that the SBDC provided and look forward to working with them in the future as new challenges are presented to my business.” Ash was so happy with his experience he even dedicated an episode of his podcast just to highlight these resources to others in his area.
