We know it’s hard to choose just one!
We asked Fox students to share that one class that has stuck with them the most.
In addition to courses needed to fulfill major requirements, students also have access to an entire catalog of interesting classes just because they are intrigued by a topic. Let’s hear again from some fellow Fox Owls about their most memorable class.

Natalie Diedericks, Class of 2026
Major: International Business Administration
Hometown: Charles Town, W. Va.
Favorite class: Honors Marketing Management
Professor: Zach Oppenheimer
What was so memorable about this class?
“You can tell that Professor Oppenheimer is passionate about marketing and sees the value of it in business. He is very knowledgeable in both work experience and technical jargon. His examples are relatable and brands that I interact with daily, which really puts into perspective how influential my role in marketing can be in the future! This class is the first that I have taken that aligns with my major and although it is introductory, it is rewarding to see how my interests and college decisions align with a career I can see myself doing.”
Jake Lewis, Class of 2024
Major: Finance and Real Estate
Hometown: Quakertown, Pa.
Favorite class: Commercial Real Estate Analysis
Professor: David Wilk
What was so memorable about this class?
“The course shaped my life in a way where it taught me how to truly think critically and approach business situations from a practitioner’s perspective rather than as a student. Professor Wilk led by example in showing how to treat your peers with respect and kindness, and his genuine interest in everyone’s success was infectious. I still think about the class because I felt that it made me a better business professional and better person at the same time.”

What was so memorable about this class?
“This class certainly helped shape my perspective on creating meaningful analyses of various companies and I think about this class frequently in my apprenticeship with the Estée Lauder Companies. [There were] three critical analysis papers we were able to complete on Fortune 500 companies throughout the semester. I enjoyed being able to understand how to best navigate digital resources for meaningful research, how to create impactful, evidence-driven strategy recommendations and how to problem solve in a proactive manner.”

“It was one of the first classes I took that felt like a well-made buildup of previous classes. Rather than shackling together random content, everything feels very planned and useful for the future. The depth of information only matched the professor’s zeal for the content he teaches. Super passionate professor and interesting content!”
