The Temple University Small Business Development Center (TUSBDC), a proud member of the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers (PASBDC) network, has been named a Top-Performing SBDC Center in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The designation recognizes its exceptional commitment to advancing small business success and economic growth across the region. In addition to this distinguished center-wide award, TUSBDC consultants Isabel Krome and John Ondik were individually honored for their standout performance and dedicated service to our small business community.

“I am so proud of our incredible team,” says Erika Tapp Duran, TUSBDC director. “It is an honor to be recognized as one of the top performing centers in the network. Isabel and John consistently exceed expectations. I am thrilled to see them shine amongst the dozens of consultants statewide.”

Temple SBDC received the awards at the annual PASBDC Growth Conference held at Penn State University in State College. The annual Growth Conference is a three-day professional development event for Pennsylvania’s 15 SBDC centers.

Each year, PASBDC evaluates centers across key performance indicators such as business starts, capital infusion and client satisfaction. This year’s awards include:

  • Temple University SBDC, Center Performance Award: Recognizing the top Centers for demonstrating exceptional performance on the FY2024 performance elements report during the last full program year.
  • Isabel Krome, Founders Award: Awarded to the business consultant with the most business starts in the Pennsylvania SBDC network for the last full program year.
  • John Ondik, Capital Investment Award: Awarded to the business consultants with the largest total dollar client investment in the Pennsylvania SBDC network for the last full program year.
