Dr. Amir Shoham is a Professor of finance and strategic management (International Business) at the Fox School of Business Temple University. Dr. Shoham received his Ph.D. from Ben Gurion University, Israel. He also holds an MA in economics and an MBA. In recent years Dr. Shoham’s main research area deals with the impact of linguistic gender marking on gender roles in society. His gender-related research is published in many academic journals, including the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of World Business, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, among others. He was awarded twice the SSE/WAIB Award for Increased Gender Awareness in International Business Research. In addition to teaching finance, international business, and economic courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, he has extensive experience in executive education programs in the US, Europe, and Asia. He has taught and conducted executive programs at Ben Gurion University, Israel; Hebrew University, Israel; The College of Management Academic Studies, Israel; Rutgers University, China and Singapore; Baruch College, Taiwan, China, and Singapore; The International School of Economics, Georgia; International School of Management, France; Jiao Tong University, China; Temple University, USA and Columbia. He was on the Board of Directors of two public firms, worked as a consultant with several corporate and government clients, and provided legal opinions to courts.
