Pawan Anand examines GenAI’s impact on Agile software engineering through qualitative interviews with 23 technology leaders and a survey of 260 Agile practitioners. Grounded theory analysis uncovers themes around productivity, collaboration, ethics, and scaling. Regression results show task rework reduction (β = 0.469) and sprint speed gains (β = 0.390) drive efficiency, while mere organizational support is insignificant and collaboration shifts can hinder performance. Fifty-seven percent of respondents report moderate time savings and 21 percent report large gains, though 43 percent cite bias and transparency concerns. The dissertation concludes that strategic implementation, ethical governance, and targeted upskilling are essential for realizing GenAI’s benefits in Agile teams.
