“Destination Fox” is a new video series showcasing the international graduate student experience at Temple University’s Fox School of Business and within the city of Philadelphia.
On this installment of the “Destination Fox” series, Angela Kamau, an international graduate student, joins series host Ethan Kelly, the Fox School’s associate director of communications, for a “walk and talk” session around her favorite spots in Philadelphia.
Born and raised in Kenya, Kamau begins the episode by retelling her journey to America and how she found herself as a graduate student at the Fox School in Philadelphia. After a subway ride into the city from Temple’s Main Campus, Kelly and Kamau venture into her favorite areas of the city, Penn’s Landing and Old City, along the way discussing the ways she believes Philadelphia is a great location to be a graduate student in and what she enjoys most about it.
Before ending the afternoon with a brief chat near Independence Hall, the two venture throughout Old City and stopped at a local coffee shop—one of Kamau’s favorite activities in the city.
