Heather Qader
Founder and CEO, The Qadar Group
Since graduating from the Fox School of Business with my MBA in Strategic Management, my journey has been defined by entrepreneurship, strategy, and cross-industry leadership. I founded and currently serve as the Managing Director of The Qader Group, a strategy and consulting firm. In this role, I specialize in helping brands expand their reach through strategic planning, operational efficiency, and digital marketing, with a strong focus on consumer packaged goods (CPG), brand marketing, and investment sourcing. Building a business from the ground up has taught me how to scale operations, manage diverse domestic and outsourced teams, and navigate real-world business challenges. My post-Fox journey has been about connecting the dots between creativity, business strategy, and human experience to drive tangible growth for clients.
The Fox School of Business faculty and staff played a pivotal role in equipping me with the advanced strategic mindset needed to launch my own firm and thrive in a competitive landscape. As an MBA alumna, returning to support the next generation of business leaders is my way of pouring back into the community that helped shape me. Early in my entrepreneurial journey back in 2020, I began recruiting interns directly from Temple University, experiencing firsthand the high caliber, drive, and talent of Fox students. Because I also serve on the Board of Directors for the Fox Alumni Association, stepping into the role of an Executive Lab Leader feels like second nature. I am incredibly excited to actively mentor these students, share the practical realities of modern business, and help bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world execution.
Students can expect raw, practical insights into modern entrepreneurship, digital and brand strategy, and operational management. Having navigated the highs and lows of building an agency, I offer transparent advice on everything from team onboarding and project management (using tools like Notion) to cash flow management, client acquisition via word-of-mouth, and cross-cultural leadership. In my Executive Lab, I will challenge students to look at business through a holistic lens… balancing data and strategic frameworks with the human elements of communication, partnership building, and adaptability.
The future of work demands agility, digital fluency, and the ability to pivot. The MBA learning labs are a game-changer because they pair rigorous academic frameworks with direct mentorship from active industry practitioners. This innovative approach forces students to solve real-time, fluid problems, shifting their mindset from learning about business to operating in business. By participating in the Executive Labs, students are equipped with the exact skills the future economy demands: hands-on project execution, technological adaptability, self-awareness regarding business blind spots, and the resilience needed to manage through ambiguity.
